Kiton KNT Spring/Summer 2024 Collection

“We symbolically dedicate this collection to the island of Procida, which has inspired us since we were children and used to arrive there by boat, stopping off to take a swim in its crystal-clear waters, tinged with the multi-coloured reflections of its little houses. It represents our culture, our origins and the zest for life that sets us apart.” Mariano De Matteis.

The KNT SS24 collection, designed by the twins Mariano and Walter De Matteis, is a journey that begins in Procida and turns its gaze across the sea, westwards, hinting at an exercise in conciseness that starts from tradition and speaks to a modern, global man, interpreting a sophisticated concept of new elegance with craftsmanship.

The Mediterranean colours of the Gulf of Naples light up a collection somewhere between tradition and the future, which breaks down classic concepts with a contemporary flair, with the savoir-faire that only those who know them well can master with elegance, in a virtuous balance between formal and informal clothing: careful tailoring and a great focus on materials, as the family tradition dictates.

Extreme attention to tailoring details and a subtle revision in terms of fit, softer and more relaxed. In the fluid, unstructured suits, jackets are elongated and feature slim, nonchalant lapels.

Alongside the iconic drawstring waist trousers, we see the new ‘WD’ model, with a classic front, wider leg and an elasticated back.

With a nod to the conventions of Californian coolness, for parties on hot summer evenings, KNT offers dinner jackets in ultra-lightweight cool wool, with small tonal patterns, double-breasted and single-breasted jackets with classic lapels, without pointing, in grosgrain silk and covered buttons. Understated details that don’t go unnoticed.

The KNT aesthetic embraces sportswear, integrating it and incorporating it in a casual, almost natural concept: sweatshirts with oversized volumes and shortened lengths in gauzed cotton, trench coats, bomber jackets and jersey jackets, in an ultra-light ripstop nylon with a crisp look or in washed cotton with a velvety feel.

The choice of materials is sophisticated and minimalist, made on traditional and ever more natural looms, such as cool wool, cotton and silk, used for short- and long-sleeved shirts, for trousers and in combination with wool, for ultra-light knits with a velvety feel.

Iconic garments: the oversized bomber jacket with its large cargo-inspired pockets, the crisp cotton poplin drawstring shirt and the puffer jacket, the quintessential transversal garment, with and without a hood and contrasting piping, to be worn over a suit or combined with colourful sweatshirts.

The world of denim trousers is expanded with three new slim-fit models: the carrot, the multi-pocket and the skinny fit.

The collection is available at The Kiton boutiques and online at Kiton.com.
