Marukai Corporation (dba Tokyo Central) a popular Japan-based grocer and retailer, celebrated the grand opening of its Torrance, California store on December 14, 2024. Members of the media and city officials attended the grand opening on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 3665 Pacific Coast Highway, Torrance, CA 90505.

At 22,150 square feet, the Tokyo Central Torrance PCH location is the company’s 2nd Torrance location and its 12th US store. Currently, Tokyo Central operates 11 locations in the US, with plans to open additional stores in 2025.

Tokyo Central offers a wide variety of premium imported Japanese goods such as groceries, made-to-order and ready-to-go food trays, health products and many other specialty items. Tokyo Central will also feature Vanshow Sushi & Bar restaurant, serving fresh and authentic Japanese cuisine.
