Feature Artist: Kim Garcia
Kim Garcia (b.1989, San Diego, CA) is an artist who works in sculpture, drawing, and installation. Her practice is committed to the investigation of social objects formed through fictions that confront the topics of interpersonal connection, community structures, and the fallibility of memory. She is the founder of The Cold Read, an online-based critique platform that engages gestures of care and support through writing and prompt-based exhibitions. Garcia is an artist who lives and works in Los Angeles, CA and received her MFA from the University of California, Irvine.
