Feature Artist: Carsten Bund
Born nearby the Black Forest in Germany, Carsten Bund is an experimental and process-based painter. Using materials such as burlap, tap, various glues and other construction tools and materials, he builds up and tears down surfaces to extract form and meaning. More recently employing artificial intelligence to generate textures and images based on his past work, Bund continues to explore the possibilities of image making. Bund studied art at HFBK in Hamburg and currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
